Zoho, a leading technology company, has introduced Zia LLM, its own proprietary large language model tailored specifically for business applications. This launch also includes the no-code agent builder 'Zia Agent Studio', over 25 deployable Zia agents, and a Model Context Protocol (MCP) server that facilitates integration with third-party agents.

Kehinde Ogundare, Zoho Nigeria's Country Head, explained that the solution focuses on foundational technology designed to protect customer data while offering extensive capabilities relevant to the business context, all aimed at maximizing value. The model is trained particularly for business use cases, placing privacy and governance at its core. This focus has lowered inference costs and enables customers to use AI productively and efficiently.

Despite supporting various LLM integrations such as ChatGPT, Llama, and DeepSeek, Zoho continues to emphasize data privacy by allowing customers to retain their data on Zoho's servers. This prevents data from being transmitted to external AI cloud providers. The model is currently undergoing testing for internal use across Zoho's wide range of applications and will be available to customers in the upcoming months.

In addition to Zia LLM, Zoho announced two proprietary Automatic Speech Recognition (ASR) models for converting speech to text in English and Hindi. These models are optimized to operate under low computer loads without sacrificing accuracy and reportedly outperform comparable models by up to 75% on standard benchmarks. Zoho plans to expand ASR language support to promote wider adoption and inclusivity of AI technologies across diverse regions. The company is also set to launch a reasoning language model (RLM) soon.
